The Flash 1.5-Plastique

A metahuman with the ability to turn anything she touches into an explosive is the subject of the S.T.A.R Lab's crew attention in this episode. Bette, a former military explosive expert was also affected by the Particles Accelerator's explosion. A bomb shrapnel bonded with her body on a cellular level and this gave her the metahuman ability.

While this episode is not all that interesting, a scene however has the 'whao factor'. This has been my fantasy since childhood. In those days, when I hear The Flash, the first thing that comes to my mind is, the guy that can run on water. Yeah!  In this episode, The Red Streak walked on water. And that did it for me.

Gotham 1.7-Penguin's Umbrella

This appears to be the best episode so far. Probably, the ratings will increase because of this episode.

Victor made a grand entrance into the series. The hitman and his crew nearly killed Gordon in the epic gun fight scene at the GCPD which he narrowly escaped from with the help of his chief antagonists but not without some serious bodily injury. Victor's looks though,  somehow scary, hope we see more of him in the series.

The peace accord between Don Maroni and Don Falcone doesn't look like one that is gonna last long with the shocking revelation that Penguin struck a deal with Don Falcone to snitch on Don Maroni.

Gordon is on a very thin rope at the moment, I mean Penguin pleaded for his life,  Penguin of all people. Now,  Gordon is in Don Falcone's debt, will he drop his plan to arrest the mayor and the mafia bosses? What will he do about the surging crime rate in Gotham city? This is getting more complicated.

I doubt if there would be an argument on this-Penguin remain my best character till date. This guy is just playing all sides and he is getting better at it.

This is a great episode, but watch it, there is soon gonna be a show down.

30 DAYS IN ATLANTA- AY Comedian

''How you go let woman colonize you for your own bunk''-Akpos.

Finally, Akpos has come to life.

You all can relate to the famous Akpos that is the main male character in any stupid joke. AY comedian has turned the character to reality in the movie, 30 Days in Atlanta.

This movie is a comedy about the adventures of Akpos in Atlanta after winning a ticket for two to visit the United States.

There is both an assemblage of famous Nollywood acts and foreign acts to spice up the comedy that promises to crab our ribs up right from the first scene.

My review will come after I see the movie, so watch out.

This has got to be the best trailer of the year, if there is anything like that.

The Fast and furious gang against Jason Statham.

The Originals 2.3-Live and Let Die

"The ability to endure pain is the warrior's true weapon,  master that, and nothing holds power over you"- Mikael.

Do I sense a kind of connection between Elijah and his baby vamp, Gia?

What's with Hayley and the attitude? It's kinda creating a gulf between her and Elijah.

Davina is still crawling under my skin, out of all the people that could teach her to fight she decided to pitch her tent with the meanest master vampire killer alive. She should just stick to chanting incantations and mixing potions.

Why did Camille even feature in this episode at all? Yes, to kill the fun,  she's such a buzz-kill. Klaus left a job half-done, thanks to her.

Mikael is a boss, while in so much agony he removed Papatunde's dagger something that our bad-ass Klaus couldn't do. And yes he is free from Davina's hold.

Klaus should have ended Mikael when he had the chance,  but now the saga continues.

Elijah is now temporarily unavailable. The whole plot was actually to isolate him from the rest for Esther to capture, now he is in shackles.

Who's gonna rescue Elijah? What's Klaus next line of action?

The Flash 1.4- Going Rogue

This episode got me falling more in love with this series, why? Felicity Smoak made more than just an appearance , yes,  you heard right. She crossed over from Arrow and she featured in this episode from the beginning to the end.

Guess who else got introduced to the series, wait for it..... Wentworth Miller! Everybody's favorite in Prison Break.

Barry's undergoing some training with Dr Wells forcing him to do multiple tasks at superspeed.

Unimaginably, Cisco made a weapon that can actually stop the Flash and it was stolen from S.T.A.R labs by some criminals, this time around they are non metahumans, trouble, yeah right!

Felicity Smoak came into the scene just in time to teach the Flash crew a lot of things about crime fighting.

This is getting more interesting, why not join in the fun.

The Walking Dead 5.3- Spoiler Alert!!!

The journey for the survival and salvation of the human race continues in this post apocalyptic TV series.

The hunters(remainder of the Terminus crew) are still enjoying their Bob-a-cue when Bob reveals his bite wounds and starts laughing hysterically shouting 'tainted meat'.

Meanwhile, Rick and the gang are at Gabriel's throat upon the discovery that 3 of them are missing. They hear movements outside and Bob is seen lying on the ground and his horrific tale absolves Gabriel of any wrongdoing but propelled the team to map out a plan to put an end to Gareth and his crew.

Enough of the spoilers for now, I have not revealed much though. It will be criminal to deny you all the pleasure of discovering by yourself the suspense, twists and actions in ''Four walls and a roof".

Anxiously waiting for the next episode, Sunday seems so far away.

Season 3 Trailer.


Merely thinking about this series causes a gush of excitement through my system. This historic TV series replays the raiding , trading and exploring of the early Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia, following the exploits of the Viking legend, Ragnar Lothbrok.

A farmer turned ruler after a series of events is driven by the vision of land and life beyond the sea- his destiny. He led his people on successful deadly explorations and raids with the support of his brother Rollo, his son Bjorn and his wives, it is on record that this guy was a bundle of trouble for England and France in those days. Other clans too decided to join the party and this led to a clash of interest and switching of alliances among his men and the other clan leaders.

This show tells the legendary tale of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) in such a captivating way that will keep you glued to the screen along with other interesting characters like Floki, Lagertha etc with a their own personality and a lot of screen time.

How can I forget the opening theme song, ''If I had a heart'' by Fever Ray. I am always in the habit of skipping opening theme songs of most shows, but not this one. That's how gripping the song is.

This show comes highly recommended with a rating of 8.6 on IMDb, so go get Season 1 and 2.

Constantine

This is another upcoming TV show based on the comic characters of a DC Comics, Hellblazer. Haunted by his past sins, John Constantine an ex con-man turned occult detective possesses supernatural powers to assist humanity fight gathering dark forces.

Now with the responsibility of saving humanity with his powers, he teamed up with Liv Aberden, the daughter of a late friend, also with supernatural ability to see dark forces living within us. Together, they fought the demons who have targeted her and learnt more about her father.

The show will premiere on October 24, let us see how these two will save themselves and humanity from the impending doom. WATCH OUT!!!

He remained elusive for a very long time operating behind the scenes until he suddenly surrenders himself to the FBI volunteering to help them capture high profile criminals that the FBI would find difficult to apprehend.

He however, insisted on working with a rookie profiler, Elizabeth keen. They both embarked on a journey which led to the unraveling of so many secrets, intentions, motives and self discovery. This show is currently in its 2nd installment.

This show is highly recommended for your viewing pleasure as each episode deals with the unveiling and capturing of new high profile criminal/s in a well written plot and unexpected twist that keeps one glued to the screen.

Scandal 1x02 "Dirty Little Secrets" Promo (1)

Kerry Washington stars as Olivia Pope, a White House Communications Director who later left to start her own Crisis Management Firm. Her job is to protect the public images of the country's elites no matter the situation or circumstance.

The show centers round, Olivia Pope, her firm (Olivia Pope & Associates) and staffs also known as gladiators, the United States President and the staffs of the White House.

The series has gathered a lot of awards for its popularity and wide acceptance. It is currently in its 4th season.

The Originals - Season 2 First-Look

The Originals TV series is a spin-off from The Vampire Series about the Original Vampire Family- The Mikaelson siblings, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah.

The trio returned back to New Orleans, a city they built and reigned supreme till they had to abandon it and run away from their vengeful father. They found out on their return that the city is under the control of Klaus' protege- Marcel. Marcel has a huge army of loyal vampires answering to him, the wolves driven away from the city and the witches under his command because of a secret weapon he unleashes at will or when provoked , he was not willing to relinquish power to Klaus. It was also revealed that Klaus was going to be a father after impregnating the werewolf, Hayley.

New Orleans eventually became a battle ground with the Mikaelsons, especially Klaus trying to regain his City, Marcel and his vampires ready to stay their ground, the witches eager to gain their freedom and the wolves the desire to once again rule the city.

The show is currently in its 2nd season.

IMDb rating is 8.6.

The Flash

I have delayed this post intentionally just to see if it will make a nice addition to my must watch list, and after the second episode, I made up my mind to add it because it has a lot of juice.

It is based on the DC comics character, Flash (Barry Allen), a superhero crime fighter. The series is a spin off from Arrow, existing in the same universe.

Barry Allen was struck by lightening during a thunderstorm which contained radiations released from an Advanced Particle Accelerator's malfunctioning at its public unveiling. This turned him to a "metahuman" with the ability to move at superhuman speeds. Problem is, he is not the only one affected by this radiation,so Allen must use his powers to save the city from other metahuman criminals.

The current rating of this show on IMDb is 8.3.

Gotham

The show chronicles the story behind the rise of Commissioner James Gordon to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival. It tells the story of Gordon's early days in GCPD and the show will also tell the stories of Batman's several villains like Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Penguin (he's been in the ride with us right from episode one), Riddler, Catwoman, Joker, Harvey Dent and so on. Awesome!!!

The show started off with the popular scene we are all too familiar with: the killing of the Wayne's right in front of Bruce, their son in the streets of Gotham City with the ever evasive young Cat -who would not be readily available to tell the police her account of the shootings- as an eye witness.

As the story progresses into the 4th episode tonight, viewership is also on the rise and it currently has a rating of 8.3 on IMDb. It is a must watch and a good addition to our list of TV shows.

The Walking Dead 5.1 - No Sanctuary

Have u seen the 1st episode yet? Common don't break my heart!

As foretold by the producers, the 1st episode of the 5th installment of this popular show is breathe-taking, a seat edge grabbing affair from the beginning to the end. It's been just hours after the premiere and already the rating on IMDb is a huge 9.8.

The episode started with our team inside the boxcar preparing to gorge eyes and slit throats, while there Terminus counterparts were preparing to carve them up. A while after that Carol single-handedly wrecked their party which gave Ricks' team the much needed diversion and intervention to get in their A-game.

The episode gave us everything we have been waiting for. In-fact, it was as if there was no long wait between last season's finale and the season 5 premiere. The action was so gut wrenching, intense, deep and emotional. The producer's did a wonderful job in ensuring that all happenings at the Terminus was just one episode packed with all the necessary details. We were spared the gory details of their cannibalism acts which would have just been too much for us to stomach. And the brief reunion was so emotional, at least for me.

If the first episode could be this awesome, then I would say we are in for a great season.

Wait a minute! Did u see the black guy in the protective gear after the teaser's for next episode? Yeah, Morgan, He saved Rick in Season 1.1........And to anybody coming to the Terminus to seek refuge, please be warned........ NO SANCTUARY.

At this point, I will leave you to savor a taste of what is to come next...

The Walking Dead: Season 5 (Zero Hour Beckons)

Recently, most Cable TV providers have been warming us up for the return of the most interesting zombie TV show at the moment by doing a repeat of the season 4.

Zero hour is almost upon us. Rick Grimes and his team will more than soon enough light up our screens with intense action in the TV series that has brought an intelligent spin on the Zombie sub-genre. I cannot wait to see the number of viewer's for the premiere of the new season, of course I am cocksure the approval ratings will be sky high like previous seasons.

According to the directors, the 1st episode will be action packed as our main acts are not gonna stay long inside the container cell they are currently held up as at the end of season 4.

Let us refresh ourselves with the last episode of the last season and the preview of the next season. I leave you with the last words of Rick Grimes,".....they are screwing with the wrong people". GBAM!!!

October 1 - 1st Official Trailer

We will start off on a patriotic note with the introduction to the movie-October 1 from Kunle Afolayan.

The dark Psychological thriller was set in the colonial era, just some days before the Independence of Nigeria. It chronicles the adventure of a very savvy Northern police detective, Danladi Waziri, who is on assignment in a part of the western region of Nigeria called Akote to unravel the mysteries surrounding serial killings of virgins before the Nigerian flag is raised on October 1, Nigeria's Independence Day.

The movie has an assemblage of acts from different background of Nollywood, starting from the veterans Kayode Olaiya popularly know as Aderupoko and Kanayo O. Kanayo with the inclusion of the Iconic Sadiq Daba to the young guns, Kehinde Bankole, Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta and also introducing Demola Adedoyin. Some foreign acts also feature in the film- Nick Rhys, Colin David etc.

It must be mentioned that the producers of this movie did a great job as the quality is top notch. I had a nice time watching this movie at the cinemas and will recommend it as a must watch for those who are yet to see it. If you have seen it, kindly give your review in the comment box.
